Still most people when drawing a house choose the shape of a pitched roof. After all, this style of roof – the ‘fifth façade’, if you like – is still the most traditional. It touches on an idea that we hold deep inside regarding how shape and design should look. A pitched roof creates identity, gives the building its own character and shapes urban skylines in various, exciting ways depending on the country or region in question.
