What could be better than spending your holiday in a vacation home that turns out to be an architectural highlight – both from the outside and the inside? The online platform "holidayarchitecture" (as taken a close look at many of these special vacation buildings –whether in the Eifel, in the Thuringian Forest, in the Netherlands or in Apulia – and presents them in an impressive way. Founder and editor Jan Hamer has been maintaining the collection of architecturally outstanding vacation homes since 2007, so that you can now discover around 500 objects here. The focus is on vacation homes and apartments in Europe, which are supplemented by selected hotels and B&Bs. In addition, the team of holidayarchitecture regularly publishes award-winning Coffetable books, which awaken the wanderlust and provide plenty of inspiration.

The latest book, "Houses and People" was published in April 2020 and is the 9th edition as part of Edition holidayarchitecture. It brings together recommendations for travelers and architecture lovers who have made a lasting impression on the holidayarchitecture team based on architectural as well as tourism concepts in the past. On 252 pages the readers expect 28 vacation domiciles in Europe, which are not only architecturally a journey worth. The book has a new design and for the first time includes a magazine as a supplement. In this magazine, the focus is not on the architecture, but on the people behind it, such as architects, hosts and designers. They have their say and talk about their ambitions, wishes and visions.
