Assemble
Assemble is a multi-disciplinary collective working across architecture, design and art. Founded in 2010 to undertake a single self-built project, Assemble has since delivered a diverse and award-winning body of work, whilst retaining a democratic and co-operative working method that enables built, social and research-based work at a variety of scales, both making things and making things happen.

Every project starts with a question—What if? What if the places in which we live and work could make us healthier and happier?—Improving lives through better design. What if we could create beautiful buildings that work for the environment as well as for us?—Cleaning the air we breathe and generating more energy than they use. What if we could make spaces that everyone could enjoy?—Creating diverse and inclusive environments. What if we designed our cities for people to cherish and develop the places in which they live?—Building a better future for generations to come. What if we worked to achieve all of this?—We do. IF_DO came together as three young architects to set up the firm in 2014.

Carl Turner Architects
Founded in 2006, Carl Turner Architects is an award-winning, architectural studio that believes in creating thought-provoking and well-crafted architectural projects. With a passionate belief that architecture can enrich lives and make a difference to those that use and engage with it, Carl Turner Architects always start by examining the context in which they are working and respond with design solutions that they feel are appropriate and right to the situation they are presented with.

Practice Architecture
Founded in 2009 Practice Architecture is a London based firm experienced in delivering celebrated cultural, community and residential projects. The practice is known for creating extraordinary structures with a strong sense of place. Often involved from inception through to completion they work in a very hands on way, curating both space and the activity it contains.
Important project: Frank’s Cafe
31/44 Architects
31/44 Architects is a London-based architectural practice headed by Will Burges and Stephen Davies. 31/44 refers to the practice’s two studio locations in the Netherlands (Amsterdam) and the UK (London) when founded in 2010. Projects are characterised by a thoughtful response to context, conceived not in isolation, but growing instead out of the particular conditions of each setting. This results in buildings with an inherent connection to their site whilst ensuring they are also a close reflection of clients’ requirements.

Hayatsu Architects
Hayatsu Architects’ work is characterised by crafted, thoughtful, sensitive and playful approaches tailored to unique situations and the requirements of users. The practice’s sensitivity comes from their in-depth knowledge of working with many historic buildings. Working in these settings, Hayatsu Architects have developed a unique insight into creating innovative and exciting spaces that are seamlessly integrated within their historic context through carefully crafted material interventions and the adaptation of hands-on construction methods.
Important project: Tea House for the Japanese House exhibition at the Barbican Centre
TDO architecture + design studio
TDO architecture was founded in 2012 by Tom Lewith, Doug Hodgson and Owen Jones. The three founders met at The Bartlett School of Architecture. The practice’s first built project, Forest Pond House, a timber-framed meditation space and children’s den cantilevered over a garden pond, is emblematic of TDO’s approach: collaboratively designed by all three directors, it is characterised by simple forms, intersecting geometries and exposed materials.

Tigg + Coll Architects
Tigg + Coll Architects were established in 2008 by the two Directors, David Tigg and Rachel Coll. They are a young, energetic and innovative RIBA Chartered Practice based in west London.

Mary Duggan Architects
Mary Duggan is a London-based architecture and design studio established in March 2017. The practice is committed to the delivery of well-conceived and thoughtfully-detailed architecture for forward-thinking clients with an equal enthusiasm for design. The work of the practice encompasses many sectors. Projects span from small to large scale creating places to live, to work and learn. The ethos of the practice is driven by an untiring ambition to understand the spirit of the places in which we build, both urban and rural; to appreciate and consider the bigger picture. A concern for our clients’ needs and a commitment to challenge preconceived notions of value are also central to our working philosophy. They employ many methods to test and communicate our ideas including material prototyping, modelling, drawing, photography and collage.

Liddicoat & Goldhill
Founded in 2011, the studio’s work explores the visceral experience of Architecture. They combine a collaborative Agile design management system with an artisanal approach to making.
