The collection, freshly conceived in 2019 in cooperation with in-house designer Hartmut Weise, is a re-interpretation of classic door levers by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. This is FSB’s way of paying special tribute to the architect’s creative outpourings as the Bauhaus turns one hundred.
Mies van der Rohe revealed a profound understanding of form and materiality in the door levers he authored for his buildings. The FSB 1267 range added to the company portfolio in 2019 sees FSB embracing the formal objectives of original blueprints by Mies van der Rohe whilst simultaneously bringing the world-famous architect’s historic designs into line with building-engineering requirements for contemporary architecture.
FSB 1267 adopts the flowing transition from circular neck to flat grip that characterised the original handle and re-interprets it. In-line variants for flush and framed doors are supplemented by a model with a return to the door and an additional cranked handle for framed doors. FSB 1267 is available in the materials Aluminium, Brass and Bronze and is prepared for FSB’s own bearing systems. The product collection is rounded off by plug-in handles for doors and windows, a fitting for glass doors and classic window handles.
